Henry Da Silva grew up in a complicated home, raised by a single mother, which wouldn’t otherwise be entirely unordinary except for the fact his mother was the former notorious villain, the Ivory Devil, who plagued the city of Metrobay years ago, and who was eager for her handsome young boy to carry on the family mantle.

Henry, however, rebelled against his supposed family traditions, much to his mother’s chagrin. Finding an experimental APEX-created mining suit among his mother’s stolen possessions, Henry discovered the suit granted him earth-altering powers, with the ability to manipulate rock and stone, as well as generate quakes and small seismic attacks.

Deciding the family name needed a fresh start, Henry set out to establish himself as a hero, and bumped into the heroine, Trace, on his first day. The two foiled a robbery and, more importantly, fell head over heels for each other.

This proved even more complicated once it was discovered Trace was the daughter of the superhero Blue Blaster, the arch-rival of the Ivory Devil from years back. Though the two tried to keep their relationship a secret, it was soon discovered, causing much family drama. The two turned to therapist Hypathia Mezmann to help smooth things over, to surprising success, and the two heroes continue their partnership freely now, privately and publicly.
