“The show ain’t over ’til the fat lady sings”… just don’t call this Nordic princess the fat lady!

Helga Bolinski was once a worldwide opera star with an extremely high soprano singing voice. From an early age she trained her voice to rise higher and higher, soon shattering glass with her ultrasonic screams. But that was just the start. So driven was Helga in her desire to sing higher that she soon reached octaves far beyond even the limits of human hearing.

To her disgust, however, her incredible singing achievements were met with derision and criticism after her dramatic solos left many in the audience with ruptured eardrums and other painful injuries. Deemed a menace to the revered history of opera, Helga was unceremoniously banned from singing throughout the civilized world, effectively cutting short her thriving career.

Out of a job and with no other fallback plans, Helga jumped at an invitation by Metrobay’s Max Indeks to put her powerful lungs and soaring solos to use for the good of the Circle of R.O.P.E.’s criminal empire. She was partnered with fellow musical malevolent villains Melody and The Maestro, where have her skills and hard work were appreciated and richly rewarded.

Thing were going well at first, with Aria capturing the heroine Nightengale, and Pink Pussycat winding up in their hands, but ultimately they were foiled and forced to disperse.

After The Maestro was apprehended by the Superheroine Squad, Aria was left to fend for herself. During one particular rampage, she encountered the heroine Valient Grrl. Despite hitting the heroine with her best vocal attack, Valient Grrl shrugged off the assault and defeated her, leading to her incarceration in The Funhouse.

Aria’s supersonic singing voice is capable of deafening any opponent, though even low frequencies of her singing can induce headaches and nerve paralysis. She is able to “throw” her voice, like an invisible wrecking ball, capable of stunning an opponent or destroying whatever stands in her way.
